"Unfortunately, the stay was not very comfortable. The room heater was not working, making the room extremely cold during winter. There was also a very loud noise coming from the air conditioner; this was reported to the staff, but no action was taken. The room itself is very small, and the shower area in the bathroom is also quite cramped. While the hotel is affordable, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. That said, the receptionists were kind and polite, which was appreciated."

"From start to finish, the service was extremely poor. Upon arrival, the receptionist was rude and appeared to be playing a game while attending to me, which immediately created an unprofessional impression. After I was given access to my room during extremely hot weather, I discovered that the air conditioning was not working. I returned to reception several times to request either a different room or, at the very least, a small fan, as the heat made it impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, my concerns were ignored, and no effective solution was provided. I work as a private chauffeur and was responsible for transporting a lovely family and their dog to the UK. They had paid a significant amount of money for the service, and being well-rested was essential for me to carry out my duties safely. However, due to the unbearable heat and the poor customer service, I was unable to sleep throughout the night. The following morning, I faced a long journey without having had any rest. Although I was exhausted and concerned about the situation, I had to continue the trip because the family needed to arrive in the UK within 48 hours. Overall, my experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The lack of professionalism, inadequate customer service, and failure to resolve a serious issue made the hotel unreliable and difficult to recommend."

"Faro, the capital of the Algarve, reminded me of Phuket Town. However, the old town of Faro is more photogenic. This hotel is located near the old town, as are the bus and train stations. The hotel has a nice design; you can relax in the courtyard outside the restaurant, which has a small soaking tub. This place is a base for hiking along the Algarve coast. The Algarve coast is very beautiful and a popular vacation spot for Americans. Faro Airport is modern and stylish."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and was very impressed by its central location – wherever you’re heading in Faro, it’s generally no more than a six-minute walk. It’s ideal for exploring the city on foot. The standout feature for me was the rooftop restaurant and bar. The views over the sea are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset – a perfect spot to unwind with a drink. Breakfast was another highlight: a fantastic spread with a huge variety of options, well presented and regularly replenished. Rooms are modern, spacious, and well designed, offering a comfortable stay. The gym looked well equipped, though I didn’t use it during my visit. Service was fine – polite and efficient, but very much in line with what I’ve come to expect in Portugal: functional, with no one particularly going out of their way. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, modern hotel with a great location, excellent breakfast, and memorable views."

"We had a wonderful stay at Mercedes Country House. We spent 7 nights here during our visit to Algarve and it was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed. This place is tucked away in a town about 20 min north of Faro airport. The area is conveniently located to be able to access many interesting areas in Algarve within 1 hour. The staff are kind and attentive, the grounds are beautiful, and the Thai restaurant on site was top notch- we ate there every night that it was open. We also signed up for a Thai cooking class with the chef and learned to make some delicious dishes. Stay here if you’re looking for a peaceful oasis where you can get some restorative rest and eat delicious food, while still being located a short drive from the beaches and the region’s many cultural offerings."

"Very close to ALSA station, very convenient for travelers moving between cities. Initially, online check-in is required to obtain the main gate code. Because the host didn't notice our Trip.com order, we were briefly stuck at the entrance. Luckily, we found the host, who promptly resolved the issue for us – so helpful! If you booked this place but haven't received your confirmation, you can contact the host; she's very kind and you can contact her via WhatsApp. The house is very well-equipped, with plenty of small sofas, a kitchen for cooking (and they even provide salt and oil – super thoughtful!), a shared bathroom, and a small courtyard with some lounge chairs. It's a perfect place to relax even without leaving the house."

"We were given room 1, small but sufficient for sleeping. The mattress was comfortable and the pillow could have been better, but I slept quite well. The plug for the supposed radiator, which we couldn't get to turn on, was loose... and the extension cord for the bedside lamp was broken. The kitchen looked clean, and they left some chocolate Easter eggs for the guests at the entrance. I'm not giving it 5 stars because they didn't clean the bathroom in 3 days. In a hostel, the shared bathrooms should be cleaned every day. (They just emptied the bathroom bin, nothing more). There's no luggage storage, but you can leave your backpack in the kitchen. The street where the hostel is located is quiet; there's hardly any traffic. On the corner, there's a small shop where you can buy things if you want to cook, like cookies or something. The best thing about it is how close it is to the bus and train station."
